PRACTICE with ANDREA

Teaching private yoga classes in NYC is one of the things that I love most about my work. Bringing this practice into your home, meeting you where you’re at, curating classes just for you…this allows for deep work and transformation.

I’d be honored to work with you.

ANDREA CURRY

Andrea Curry has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. A gifted storyteller, she weaves present day experiences into ancient yogic philosophies. The result is a down-to-earth and approachable style that brings you right back to yourself. Andrea’s hands on and verbal adjustments keep you in your body consistently throughout class. A heartfelt teacher, Andrea invites us to open up and feel while also pushing you to your edge of strength and flexibility.

A private yoga class with Andrea is an experience of being seen, heard and held. She comes to your home with a calm, joyful and accepting energy, checks in with what is here physically and emotionally, and then effortlessly guides you through a class curated just for you. Savasana always includes essential oils and a very long head massage and she is not afraid to go overtime if your scheduled allows. Andrea’s ability to transform a day or week in one private class is an experience that brings you back to yourself and one that you will look forward to every week.

Currently Andrea lives in NYC with her husband and 2 sons Elijah and Finn. Andrea teaches individuals and small groups privately in their homes or offices. She teaches yoga retreats around the world with her sister Christina Curry who is a yoga teacher based in Milan, Italy.

“Andrea has been my yoga teacher for years and years. She has literally watched my children grow up while bringing her wisdom, grace and listening into my living room. Her class brings me back to my breath, increases my heart rate, pushes my limits, strengthens, stretches and calms my body and mind. If I want to talk, she calmly listens; if I want silence, she holds space. I truly love our weekly ritual.”

“As a physical therapist, my referral pool is very important. I was thrilled to meet Andrea years ago as a referral and a friend. Her understanding of how to teach yoga in a therapeutic, safe and accessible way is an incredible asset. I have referred her to many clients who have happily become full time clients of hers.”

Lizz Smith, Physical Therapist, Mama, Yogi

“My classes with Andrea have reminded me of how essential this practice is to my well-being. I love her graceful, strong and grounded presence. Her straightforward instruction brings me right back to myself. This practice allows me to release stress, strengthen my body and connect to myself. I’m so grateful I’ve allowed myself the pleasure of weekly yoga classes with Andrea as it’s truly changed my life.”

"I first took yoga with Andrea when she was working at COMO’s Parrot Cay Resort. She set a beautiful, approachable foundation for my yoga practice and set a standard for the type of teacher and class I have taken ever since. I love how she comes to my house to teach and hold space for me. A yoga day with Andrea is a great day...I always know that I will breathe through all that I am holding and will find a calm, joyful release by the end of class. Her presence reminds me that all is perfect and that this too shall pass. Andrea is gratitude and joy and I love spending time with her regularly."
